Hi guys!

I hope you all had an amazing christmas!!!
I certainly did!;)

So todays post is going to be a few OOTD/outfit ideas:)

Sunday 2 December 2012

Hello everyone!

So as promised, I am writing you a post today :D

I wanted to do a November favourites post but not much has changed as far as products go really, therefore I haven't got any new favourites to share with you:(
But...I instead I'm going to do a review

I am going to be reviewing...the Herbal essences beautiful ends split end protection intensive mask- for dry/damaged hair...wow that's a mouthful!

So basically you just shampoo your hair as normal and then put this conditioner from root to tip (generously) and then leave it on for a while (it says up to 5 mins),then after just before i rinse it out i like to comb through my hair with a wide tooth comb as it is really good for detangling your hair and it makes it less of a mission for when you have to brush your hair after the shower.

It says to use this once a week but what I do is use it pretty much every time I wash my hair and only use it on the ends of my hair as my ends are pretty dry and I need a trim to be honest but I hate having my hair cut because I quite like the length it is at the moment.

I believe this is only about £3.99 for a big tub of it.(200ml)
It makes your hair feel so soft and smooth and when you use it from root to tip it defiantly gets rid of / tones down frizz. I have actually seen a massive difference in my hair since I have been using it,(keeping in mind I have been using this for a good three months..ishh)
It hydrates your hair really well, and gives it a healthy, glossy shine.

Overall I am absolutely loving this, I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it is for the price.
And I just picked it up on a wim one day, but I'm so glad I did because I LOVE it!

I will defiantly be repurchasing this product again I am almost running out of it, but it has lasted me a long time as I have so much hair and its pretty long too.

So I hope you found this post helpful,

Thanks for reading:)

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all having a good November so far.
So I know this post is kind of late ...well 11 days late!!
But here is my October favourites:)

So for my first favourite of this month is the Nivea power fruit refresh showergel.Ok i'm just going to be honest the reason its in my favourites is simply beacuse...it smells...sooo good!!
Its a really nice fresh fruity, cherry smell. And it lasts for a while too. It also is very kind to your skin and makes it very soft.

So for my next favourite I have gone for the Palmer's cocoa butter, moisturizing lip balm.I get quite chapped lips but lately they have been even worse as now the tempreture has dropped and its really cold!!,This has been helping a lot!,I apply at every chance I have so it does the job well. And its smells quite nice too which is always a bonus!!This lip balm is £1.79 for one in superdrug...but I get mine from the shop body care for three for £1.99.

My third favourite of this month is the Maxfactor 2000 calorie mascara. When I first  got this I loved it, then I found it slightly clumpy, but now I love it again haha!.I think that applying this after curling your lashes is great!, It helps to keep the curl in place that the lash curler has created but then it adds more curl and volume. I think that it can create quite a casual look to your lashes for evry day but then you can also build it up to achieve great big lashes!...which is always good;)
I have tried a couple of the other Maxfactor mascaras and I think i just love the brand in general. This particular mascara is £6.99,and for what it is, it's certainly worth it if you ask me:)

Next is the e.l.f studio stipple brush. I love e.l.f I think the brand in general, the quality of the products is great and the price is amazing!. This particular product has to be the best e.l.f  brush I have tried...maybe even the best brush I have tried. I have re-discovered it as my other brushes were dirty so I just grabbed this one and then remembered how great it was, it gives such a natural flawless look and it can make pretty much any foundation look great on your skin.(I love to use this with the Rimmel wake me up foundation.)It also helps you build up your foundation and it not to get "cakey".
This brush is £3.75,which is an absolute bargain!!!!
I would recommend this highly!

The next of my favourites is....This NSPA fresh sweet raspberry body mist. I love love love this!
It smells soo nice..(even better than the shower gel!;)) It lasts pretty well too. Its very fresh and sweet. And I guess its a bit of a summer fragrance. There is also a passion fruit one which I also have but its not as good as this one in my opinion!,haha!
These are great to just chuck in your school bag/bag and sprits on the go. This is from ASDA, It costs £3 or two for £4..so when ever I get these I get them in twos haha!
I recommend you do check out the whole NSPA collection they do all sorts like, shower gel, skin care, lip balm etc. And they all smell great!!

So next is this Clean&Clear duel action moisturiser. I love this so much, it not only does the job of moisturising but it helps prevent spots and blemishes. I have been reaching for this lots lately because of the cold weather as it hydrates my skin well. I love that this is oil free, as are all the Clean&Clear products this is great for me as oil on my skin is what breaks me out and most moisturisers  have oil in them. This is one of the most important items in my skin care routine!,I've been using it for a long while now so I thought I would mention that!:).Let me know in the comments below if you would like to see my skin care routine
This is such a good price also at only,£3.39.

And finally, last but not least the e.l.f mist and set makeup setting spray, I've been really enjoying this I spray it on after I have finished my makeup then leave it a couple of minutes then add a bit of pressed powder and my makeup last a lot longer:)
A little of this goes a very long way, so this little bottle will last you a long time.
This costs £3.75 which is brilliant, as are all the prices at e.l.f.

A bit of a tip with this though is to spray just a little and quite far away from your face...yes I had to learn that the hard way!!;)

So I hoped you enjoyed this post, sorry again for the lateness!!
I would love to hear What your monthly favourites are.:)

Thanks for reading!

Wednesday 31 October 2012

Hi guys:)

Happy Halloween!

So today I am going to be doing......

Drugstore makeup vs. highend makeup. So I find these kind of things really interesting to read so I thought I would do one myself:)
So basically its kind of self explanatory but I will be comparing to similar sorts of products one high end and one drugstore and telling you my thoughts on them and which one I prefer.

I will be reviewing highlighting/under eye concealer.

So For my high end product I have chosen the.......

The benifit "ooh la lift"
This is an "under-eye de-puffer" and can also be used as a highlighter but it feels a bit too sticky to use it as that to be honest.

I really like this product but you do need a fair bit to get good results.
Although saying that I have used this for ages now and it has lasted me ages!
If you have dark circles under your eyes and have trouble covering them up I would defiantly recommend trying it out!:)
It really brightens the under eyes and dark circles, and instantly makes you look more awake.

This is kind of strange also but I really like the packaging it is a great size as it is big enough to hold a decent amount of product but them not too big so I can travel/carry it and top it up on the go.

This product is £16.50 on the benefit website.
I must admit that is a little pricy for what it is but so are all benefit products really.

So my Drugstore version is the l'oreal paris touche magique.
(I believe this is actually a dupe for the Touche eclat .)

I absolutely love this!!
Again it is a great size,it does a great job of covering up any dark circles and can be used on any other areas of the face too!
I find this one lasts even longer than the benefit one also!

It has a bit more of a thicker consistency to the ooh la lift one, the benefit one is a little thinner and more watery but they both are very creamy and easy to work with.
This one is also a lot lot cheaper as it sells for £8.19

(I got a picture offline for this one as my one is the old one and the packaging has changed)

So overall, if you can't already tell I prefer the drugstore concealer:),I think its is just that little bit better and then being half the price helped me make my mind up!;)

Any comments or question do leave below and I will be sure to reply!:)
Thankyou so much for reading this:)

Thursday 11 October 2012

Hi guys!
Sorry I have not posted for absolutly AGES!!
I've been really busy!

(I decided to delete all my previous blog posts and start from scratch!)

So Im going to talk about three of my favourite hair products of the moment.
I'm forever switching around my hair styling products but these are some I have been loving lately.
Ok soo...

1.) The Pantene Prov-v hairspray.

The one I have is number four,(out of 5)which is extra strong.
The thing I love most about this product is that this particular one is designed for normal-thick hair so this is like a god send for me as my hair is really thick and I have to dump so much hairspray in for it to even think about staying put throughout the day,and this makes my hair feel horrid!!
It also very light and you don't need much of this product for it to do the job. It doesn't leave my hair feeling sticky/crunchy either and it smells pretty good too.

This product retails for around £3.00....so cheap too!

Overall I would give this product a ... 4/5
Just because there is always room to improve!

2.) The VO5 smoothly does it,Curl defining mousse.

Ok so I randomly purchased this product quite a few weeks ago,but never actually got round to trying it out.

But when I finally did I really liked it.On the bottle it says that it gives a "frizz free finish, enhances curls & smoothes straight hair." I completly agree that it helps to fight frizz becuase my hair can get quite frizzy so this really reduces it.(but not completly).I also agree that it enhances curls. My hair is naturally wavey and the mousse really defines them and can even create curls.
I have never tryed it with straight hair so I can't comment on the last point.
Also this product has heat defence in it which is a bonus!
The only fault is with this product is that it is not very light on the hair,I feel like it weighs down my hair quite a bit.

Apart from that I really like this product:),it creates really pretty beachy waves/curls
(which I like to further define with a curling wand / tong sometimes.)

Oh.. and it retails at £3/£4,again very affordable.

I rate this 3.5-4/5

3.) Aussie duel personality curl definition and soft feel serum (long name!!)

Ok finally my last product is this hair serum.
I love this!
It is very light in my hair and as it is part of the "frizz miracle" collection it gets rid of frizz really well.I like using this after curling/waving my hair (or sometimes even when it is just straight). It really defines curls and just finishes the hair off in general.Sometimes with products like this I feel like it can take away the bounce in your hair but this does the opposite,it actually just boosts it.
Like any hair serums you must always make sure you are just appling it to the legnth of your hair because if you apply it to the root it will make your hair appear greasy/oily and eventually make you hair a lot more oily. And little goes a long way with this product so don't over do it;)
I love this brand in general, but this product is definalty one of my top hair products ever!

It's selling price is around £4/£5

Overall I give this product a 4.5/5

I really hope you enjoyed this:)
And I promise to be a bit more regular with my posts now!;)
Thanks again,
Amber x
